Maryna Mkrtycheva is a recognised specialist in International Criminal Law with extensive experience in extradition cases, ECHR representation, and Interpol defence. She has significantly contributed to EU legislation development related to human rights regulations and the implementation of relevant EU standards in Eastern European countries.
Maryna has represented clients before the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) and in front of Interpol's Commission for the Control of Files (CCF), developing a formidable track record in both reactive defence (challenging existing notices) and proactive protection (preventing notices before issuance).
Her deep understanding of EU human rights frameworks gives clients a powerful additional layer of protection — particularly in cases where extradition requests may violate fundamental rights under Articles 3, 6, or 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights.

Working with Maryna
Articles 3, 6 and 8 of the European Convention carry most of the weight in contested extradition, and each requires a different kind of evidence. Article 3 is about treatment on surrender and needs particularised risk. Article 6 concerns the fairness of the proceedings awaiting the person, including access to counsel and the independence of the tribunal. Article 8 concerns family and private life, and is the argument most often pleaded without the factual foundation it needs. Israeli administrative law has absorbed these standards, which is why they can be advanced domestically as well as in Strasbourg, and why they belong in a submission to the Commission for the Control of Interpol’s Files too.
