Christina Abdel Ahad is a dual-qualified lawyer with Master of Laws degrees in International Business Law and International Human Rights Law. She specialises in complex matters at the intersection of human rights and transnational justice, including extradition, INTERPOL Red Notice removal, and the protection of individual rights in international legal cooperation.

Working with Christina
Human rights arguments are the strongest material available in extradition and Interpol matters, and also the easiest to plead badly. A general assertion that conditions in the requesting state are poor will not carry a case. What works is a particularised record: the risk to this individual, given the charges, their profile and the specific facilities or proceedings they would face. That means country evidence, findings of treaty bodies, and expert opinion assembled deliberately rather than appended as an afterthought. The same record supports an Article 3 submission to the Commission for the Control of Interpol’s Files, a statutory bar in the extradition court, and, where it comes to it, an application to the European Court of Human Rights.
